Yesterday’s casualties: 56 | 16 killed by airstrikes on Raqqah | 12 killed in Inkhil fighting | 5 years since first casualty in Syrian civil war
16 casualties including 5 women and 8 babies and young children were caused by airstrikes yet unknown whether carried out by the SyAF or International Coalition fighter jets. The number of casualties is expected to rise as more than 40 individuals were wounded or are yet to be found under the rubble.
- 4 men were executed today by IS members in Manbij, northeastern Aleppo countryside. The charges for which they were executed remain unknown.
- SAA and opposition forces clash in the vicinity of Nubl and al-Zahraa, northwest of Aleppo.
While attempting to arrest an IS-affiliated fighter in ad-Dumayr, opposition forces killed three people including the fighter’s mother. This event instigated renewed fighting between opposition forces and IS-affiliated factions in ad-Dumayr.
Unknown fighters attacked a family home in Idlib today causing the death of two family members. The reasons for this attack remain unknown.
5th Anniversary of Syrian Civil War:
Protests against the Syrian government continue all over Syria including Daraa, northern Aleppo countryside, Idlib, and many more areas, as today marks five years since the first protester was killed in Daraa. The protesters also carried signs with slogans against the new Federation of Northern Syria – Rojava. Ahrar ash-Sham commanders were seen alongside protesters in Marea, northern Aleppo countryside.

Northern Aleppo Governorate: IS vs opposition forces. Reports of casualties on both sides as the opposition forces advance.
South of ash-Shaddadi – Hasakah Governorate: SDF vs IS. Reports of 2 IS casualties.
West of Salamiyah – Hama Governorate: SAA vs opposition and JAN forces.
Deir ez-Zor Military Airport: SAA vs IS. Reports of casualties on both sides. SAA advance in the area.
Inkhil – Daraa Governorate: al-Hamzah Division vs IS-affiliated Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade. Reports of 12 casualties on both sides including 6 al-Hamzah Division members, one of which was an official in the local council.
